Printer-friendly Version Recorrecting Our Correction about the Haiti Democracy ProjectOriginally: CORRECTION The Oregonian, 2006-09-27
April 12, 2006 RECORRECTION A Jan. 13 review of the documentary "Aristide and the Endless Revolution" incorrectly implied that the Haiti Democracy Project was backed by the CIA. A correction March 15 mistakenly attributed that view to the filmmakers. In fact, the original review should have stated clearly that it was the deposed Haitian leader who was allegedly backed by the CIA, not the Haiti Democracy Project. ORIGINAL CORRECTION March 15, 2006 A Jan. 13 review of the documentary "Aristide and the Endless Rovlution" stated that the Haiti Democracy Project is backed by American business interests and, allegedly, the CIA. The review should have noted that this was the conclusion of the filmmakers. The Haiti Democracy Project denies the filmmakers' assertion. |
